VISITRYBLUE
TRYPAN BLUE, 0.06% w/v
VisiTryBlue is a sterile buffered solution containing 0.06% w/v Trypan Blue. It is a capsule stainer to aid in easy capsulorhexis in cataract surgery.
VisiTryBlue will give you an excellent visualization of the capsule in eyes with matured cataracts/narrow pupils. It provides a clear visualization of the capsule rim outline during surgery and reduces risk of incomplete capsulorhexis.

INDICATIONS
Used as a capsule staining agent in cataract surgery.
CONTRAINDICATION
VISITRYBLUE is contraindicated when a non hydrated (dry state) hydrophilic acrylic Intraocular Lens (IOL) is planned to implant into eye, because the dye maybe absorbed by the IOL and get stained
WARNING & PRECAUTION

Always use separate tuberculin syringe and needle for VISITRYBLUE injection (avoid antibiotic used syringe/needle since it crystallizes the Trypan Blue)

ADVERSE REACTIONS

VISITRYBLUE is well tolerated following intraocular injection into the anterior chamber of the eye during cataract surgery.

Mild postoperative inflammatory reactions may occur in very few cases.

Extreme care must be taken while using VISITRYBLUE on patients who are hypersensitive to any of its components.

During animal experiments, teratogenic and/or mutagenic effect has been reported after repeated and/or at high dose intraperitoneal or intravenous injections with Trypan Blue. Hence Trypan Blue must not be used for pregnant women.

Following use of VISITRYBLUE, the discoloration of high water content hydrophilic intraocular lenses (see contraindications) and inadvertent staining of the posterior lens capsule and vitreous face may occur. Staining of the posterior lens capsule or staining of the vitreous face is generally self limited, lasting up to one week.
